Meet the Team
DR. KIM FROMME is Professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin and is also the Director of the Studies on Alcohol, Health, and Risky Activities (SAHARA). She received her Ph.D. from The University of Washington, and is a Fellow and former President of the Society of Addiction Psychologists (Division 50) of the American Psychological Association.
EMILY is a fourth year graduate student who is interested in understanding the interplay between alcohol use, casual sex, and associated positive and negative outcomes in women. Before coming to graduate school, Emily grew up in Philadelphia and attended Penn State University as an undergraduate student. In her free time, you can find Emily playing outside with her dog, Stella.
MICHELLE is a third year psychology student. She has worked in the Fromme, Harden, and Delville labs and plans to pursue a graduate degree in clinical psychology
ELLEN Ellen Brown is a sophomore psychology major hoping to go on to medical school after college. Ellen is also involved in the SAHARA Lab at UT.
MARISA is a second year undergraduate student hoping to attend graduate school in the near future.. She intends to earn a professorship and enter the field of research.
ANDREW is a post-baccalaureate student and Texas native. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from New York University in 2009 and is looking to begin graduate school in 2017, where he will seek to immerse himself in research on substance use and psychological disorders within marginalized and minority populations. In his free time, Andrew moonlights as a writer and entertainment journalist and enjoys watching movies with his fiancé and his pup, Coach McGuirk.
JESSICA will be a fourth year Psychology student minoring in Women and Gender Studies. She plans on going to graduate school to pursue a degree in Counseling Psychology in order to provide psychological health care to underrepresented communities.
MARGOT is a third-year biochemistry major with a minor in Psychology from The Woodlands, TX. She plans to attend medical school after college and become a psychiatrist.
